Before you rent a boat on the lake, make sure someone in your traveling group has taken the North Carolina Boater Safety Course. Any person born on or after January 1, 1988 must complete a NASBLA approved boating education course before operating any vessel propelled by a motor of 10 HP or greater.
A boaters license is not required for people born before 1988, but it is recommended.

Please refrain snacks that may leave crumbs, messed, or residue behind including drinks with dyes that could stain if spilled (Think red sports drinks and red wine).
• Heeled Shoes – Flip flops/flat soled shoes are acceptable on Tritoon Boats. On the Wakeboard/Wakesurf Boats we have a spot for your shoes to be left safely at the dock or a spot in the boat incase you visit a waterfront restaurant/bar.
• Coolers – Don’t worry, We don’t have anywhere to store your coolers if you arrive with one and don’t have a car at the marina to leave it in (ie. use ride share).
• Too much “stuff” or too any bags – This may sound funny but remember there’s limited space on boats and our storage is taken up for all the essentials both for safety and fun! As the number of people onboard with you rises, please consolidate non-essential belongings so you can move about the boat freely without hazard.
• Aerosol Sunscreens – Please bring lotion sunscreen and apply prior to boarding.
•. Clear/Metallic Inflatables and/or Floats – These will cause significant damage to our vessels and equipment acting like a magnifying glass in the sun.
• Cigarettes/Cigars – There’s no smoking allowed on our vessels but if you smoke, we can coordinate stops to accommodate off of the vessel.
• Illegal Substances – As a reminder, Lake Norman Marine Commission doesn’t permit hard alcohol onboard. Beer, (white) wine, seltzers, etc. are all acceptable for those of legal consumption age.
There is not a bathroom onboard our boats. Your captain will certainly take you to the closest facilities when desired.
Most Ponton boats aren’t designed for fishing. Therefore, we don’t allow fishing on our vessels to prevent possible accidental damages.
All passengers must sign a liability waiver prior to departure. If under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign.
At least one adult 18+ years old must book the trip and be present for the entire length of the charter.
All passengers under the age of 13 must wear a life jacket while the boat is in motion.
All passengers who cannot swim are not permitted to participate in watersports and must always wear a life jacket.
No Smoking Onboard– if you smoke, we can arrange to make stops as needed. Electronic Cigarettes & Vapes are permitted only with legal substances.
Please wear flats or boat appropriate shoes without pointed soles that could cause damage.
No pets.
BYOB Food & Drinks – but no red liquids (including red wine) and no Cheetos or similar artificially dyed foods that may cause stains impossible to remove.
Alcohol is allowed (in moderation) for those legally permitted to consume however is limited to beer, cider, champagne, or (non-red) wine. Hard alcohol, liquor, and mixed drinks are not permitted per Lake Norman Marine Commission policies.
Please, no aerosol sunscreens (lotion sunscreen is fine).

The company reserves the right to charge additional clean up fees for significant mess and/or smell – usually bodily fluids like vomit, urine, or extensive sticky/staining messes and any damages incurred.

Ask your captain! In the instance that you’d like to extend your booking and our schedule allows, the hourly rate will be charged to your card on file based upon the base hourly rate of your booking. All extensions will be charged based upon the closest 1/2 hour when arriving back to the dock.
